Why learn with Jen (AdrenaJen)
I’m one of the world’s top female snowkiters with 20+ years competing and coaching. I’m a certified instructor (IKA & KA) who’s taught hundreds of riders on both water and snow. The same instincts that took me to Australian Women’s Kitesurfing Champion and #4 at the GKA Worlds power my winter coaching: clear progressions, safety first, and confidence that sticks. My women’s snowkite camps are known for building skill, stoke, and an empowering crew.
Season & Spots
Montana & Idaho: Dec 15 – Feb 25, choosing zones by wind, snowpack, and access (Bozeman/Big Sky meadows, Island Park plateaus, and other high-country venues).
Alaska (Thompson Pass/Valdez): Mar 1 – Apr 25 for cold, consistent winds and expansive terrain.
Daily locations are selected for the best and safest conditions.
Lesson Options
1) First-Timer Lesson (Snow + Basics)
Fly a trainer kite on snow, learn the wind window and power zones, and master the 3 core skills for getting up and gliding. It’s faster to learn on snow—expect your first rides in the first lesson. We’ll cover self-rescue, terrain assessment, gear setup (skis/board), and winter wind & weather forecasting so you can pick winning days.
2) Backcountry Transition (Intermediate → Touring/Freeride)
From surf to snow. Perfect for kiteboarders with water experience who are new to snow. Progress from the flats to mountain terrain: efficient upwind/downwind travel, edging in variable snow, kite-assisted touring, climb management, line handling in cold temps, and safe route-finding.
3) Snowkite Pro (Advanced Mountain Riding)
Refine power management, carving control, and drift timing on steeper features. Link climbs, traverses, and descents with precision; optimize kite size/quiver for changing winds; dial systems for long tours and big-objective days.
