Kitesurfing Lessons on Oregon’s Wild South Coast
Newport → Gold Beach | June 1 – Oct 1 | NW summer winds
Ready to ride one of the most consistent wind-and-wave playgrounds in North America? From Newport to Gold Beach, the summer NW trades turn Oregon’s south coast into a kitesurfer’s dream—sandbars, river mouths, jetty points, and long downwinder lines that build real ocean skills.
Why learn with Jen (AdrenaJen)
I learned to kiteboard here 20+ years ago—skills that carried me to Australian Women’s Kitesurfing Champion and #4 at the GKA Worlds. And as proud as I am of those results, I’m just as passionate about teaching as I am about riding—breaking skills into clear, confidence-building steps so you progress faster and enjoy every session.
Season & Spots
June 1 – October 1 when the NW winds blow reliably. We’ll choose locations based on conditions (wind, swell, tides) across Newport, Florence, Bandon, Flores Lake, and Gold Beach zones.
Lesson Options
1) First-Timer Lesson (Beach + Basics)
Learn to fly a trainer kite, understand the wind window and power zones, and master the 3 core skills to get you riding. We’ll cover self-rescue, spot assessment, gear safety, and wind & weather forecasting so you can score the best sessions.
2) Surf Transition (Intermediate → Waves)
Level up from flatwater to surf. You’ll gain confidence punching through whitewater, learn a chicken jibe in the break, and start catching your first waves safely and with flow.
3) Kitesurf Pro (Advanced Wave Riding)
You’re riding waves and want more power, style, and precision. We’ll dial down-the-line surfing, top & bottom turns, kite drift control, and timing—so you can carve big faces and link sections like a pro.
